Why should someone who worked hard for that $250,000 see a tax increase?
“No what we will have is a socialistic society”
1) There are no socialist politicians in office in America (except for Bernie Sanders who is basically just a left-leaning liberal).
2) We already have ‘socialistic’ policies in place that stave off the worst elements of capitalism like sweatshops, monopolies, labor abuses, poor safety standards, lack of health care and slave wages. If you want “pure” capitalism go to Indonesia or Nigeria.

1) The majority of rich Americans do not pay all their taxes
2) The tax burden is already on those who earn less than $250,000/year
3) Business owners pay taxes because they use public services more than everyday people. Roads, railways, shipping ways, public electricity, a good military, protection of property laws and legal enforcement of business transactions, etc. You pay for government services just like any private one.
A86 made some very good points to this regarding the tax increase of those who earn 250,000. Also socialism is socialism and communism is communism. Two very different things.
yeah well done – try and capitalise on yet another bad situation by making a movie about and waiting for dumb people to spend their money buying it.

This recession has nothing to do with the president(s) because we live in a free market, Capitalist country. There should be no tax increases on those who make a lot of money, those people who make money like that worked hard for it, unlike those people who make very little because they work at McDonald’s because they dropped out of high school. Taxes should be equal, we can’t take from the rich and give to the poor, that’s wrong, because big executives earn their money fair and square.

If this recession does in fact have something to do with the war and people want out….can’t people just overthrow the government? What if say…….3 million people just gather around the white house demanding to stop the war and if he doesnt respond then everyone tears apart the whitehouse and government buildings. If Canada and US is a democracy….then how come our words are never heard and politicians never keep their word. If i was PM, i’d immediately pull the troops and end this war.

Yes i would do the same. I would cut back on defence expenditure. This costs the governemt money, which they are alble to spend elsewhere in the economy, creating a mulitplier affect, easing the economy and will help to get out of a recession as it would be part of fiscal measures, thus by the goverment spending. If the government were smart they should remove troops from iraq and iran and elsewhere, and use that money to create jobs, which will help us out a recession.
I love the so called recession.. all it did was make rich money grubbing criminals who do nothing poor. All of the jobs where people actually do something are still there. HA HA !
I think you guys might want to wait 2 more years so you get the title of this movie correct. It should be called: Hyperinflationary Great Depression, the musical! Featuring hits like “picking through the dumpster is like magic” and “Hey, are we even in a recession?”
hey here’s a thought… let’s take all the highly intellectual individuals who were once creaming it in the money trade who are now jobless and pay them to plant some trees or use their brain power to help make vehicles that run on H20…! the world needs to re-focus, and governments need to stop throwing money at the problem, you can’t fight fire with fire, so why not invest in the planet, instead adding fuel to the flame of greed.

i would go c this movie – seriously. i actually kinda wish it was real, then ppl would find out exactly what a recession is, how we can stop it, and what’s being done. not enuff ppl kno enuff bout the recession so they say things bout it that they don’t know which just gets ppl more confused – including me.

BANK OF AMERICA IS THE MOST CORRUPT BANK IN THE COUNTRY!. Bank of America harassed me, ruined my credit, charged me over $800 in fees over a 10 day period, tried to humiliate me, and never stopped calling my house- all because of $50 overdraft!!
In one day I was charged over $250 in overdraft fees because of a company that took advantage of my bank account- BofA charges more fees than any bank in the World!
