In all do respects all those economists only said something till late 2008 well into the collapse. Jims failure was in not understanding US economics and how there economy would effect us so much.
The real warnings were made by the controller general of the united states (head accountant) or global investors like Peter Shiff of Euro pacific capital , DR. Ron Paul who have been telling us this since 2005.

Hey Gritgirl…I don’t support the Conservatives or Harper’s handling of the crisis. However, this work is completely unfair and partisan. No economists were predicting the major fallout of Wall Street, but a recession was likely, the government didn’t even deny that in early 2008. No one was predicting the collapse of financial institutions seen in late 2008. That event, which has made this recession so difficult, was never predicted.
There were some economists who predicted the global recession and pointed at the derivative market as the cause.
What do you expect from the same guy whose plan to end homelessness in Toronto was to make it illegal. Perhaps he can make recessions illegal too. How about we make dumbasses illegal.
