People in greece are protesting because the government refuses to cut military spending! Greece has troops in Afghanistan for crying out loud! They actually increase defense spending. Can you see why they’re mad as hell and not taking it anymore?!?!
We should join with Greece as we are headed towards the same situation. The only way this debt gets paid is with inflation! This is what they want!
@BloodiCheeseCake
that statement applies more to peter schiff than anyone else
@joepglass you see the problem? IMF is bailing greece out, and usa funds 20% of IMF’s money. greece has troops in afhan to help usa, why do you think that is so? acting like whatever “the people” “raise their arm” in protest for must always have some kind of purely just reason is simply naive and foolish. it’s more like a crowd of sheep not knowing what’s going on “baah”ing. and i’m not saying military adventurism accomplishes any lasting piece, but a bunch of ignorant mass won’t solve it.
maybe greece should have some spine and take cut on the damn retirement benefits, then say no to IMF bailout which is in part funded by the usa, then say no to war in afghan. you can’t want both. at least have the backbone to pick one.
@spyletu I agree…those protesters are clueless….at this moment i can’t see Germany voteing to give them any money…take some responibility for yourself Greece….
@spyletu peace*
the magic bullet thr US govt is the US military Peter. The govt will start any war they want to ensure global power and economic security. In addition, entire countries depend on robust trade to grow (ie China, Japan). Dont forget, they can call in the bonds and collapse the economy but they dont so to protect the golden goose.
Don’t hate me because I have cool things to look at on my website.
@vegaspilot03 My econ teacher is an idiot Keynesian as well. I’m thinking about changing majors. I haven’t a clue where I want to transfer after CC anymore.
@spyletu They have no business in either war as neither do we! If you stop with funding the war, everything else will be fine.
you’re my hero Peter Schiff! Keep it up!
“History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and it’s issuance.” — James Madison
These people know exactly what they are doing, they are just trying to rob the people (that’s what Federal reserve was created for). Peter finally needs to understand that these people are not “making mistakes”, on the contrary they are doing their best to steal everything that americans have.
Hi Mr. Schiff, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to produce these video blogs. I really enjoy listening to them and look forward to hearing your take on what’s going on with the finance world. Best of luck in your election. We need you in DC.
I like just about all your videos, but this is a particularly excellent one. I like the systematic exploration of the various ways America could address its debt and the problems with each.
@PilsenB PS: Sometime I’d like to hear a discussion of deflation from an Austrian perspective — it sounds like the Austrian economists think deflation is OK. After all, with growing economies and populations — and a limited supply of gold — it seems that any gold standard would lead to deflation. (Also, if anyone knows of any good links or vids addressing this, please reply.)
I did not borrow shit and I did not endorse loan papers so they all can kiss my ass
So if foreign economies return after experiencing after shocks of the US crash then the US may crash again? I now many of foreign currencies are backed by gold so isn’t it inevitable that these economies return? If foreign trade costs rise then the cost of living will rise meaning less spending again and then rises in unemployment again. The US is so fickle about future market prospects because were always focused on projections as if they are already real.
@IWashMyOwnBrain So biggest intraday drop ever in the market & i make money. Own primarily gold, silver, & gold stocks. Explain to me again how I have no understanding when it comes to money.
They actually believe that as long as they can print money all will be well.
@dontdispie So we both did well today i’m long the dollar good for us….lol
@EdR77203 Me too …part of the reason we went off the gold standard is so we would not be tied to it …like Greece is now tied to the Euro…..
@dontdispie My first responce was to answer the question you asked…I was not saying your question was dumb…sorry for the misunderstanding…peace.
@IWashMyOwnBrain ah i see a good ol youtube misunderstanding. I have my share of dollars too, good luck w/ those
